In addition to Kesugi, Matias Saari directs the Crow Pass Crossing, the Mount Marathon Race and the Equinox Marathon & Relay. He is also president of the Alaska Mountain Runners.

He also wrote the book The Equinox: Alaska’s Trailblazing Marathon.
